Amanda and Joe had their Riverside On The Potomac wedding during the week when Florence was approaching East Coast. They were bracing themselves for a hurricane wedding and Joe’s best man even prepared a speech about rain being good luck and how much more difficult it would be to untie a wet knot. But miraculously the clouds parted and the entire day they got to enjoy warm September sun and gentle breeze. Maybe someone was smiling on them from heaven and guarding them from bad weather.
Amanda and Joe’s Riverside On The Potomac wedding was especially beautiful because it had autumn colors and boho accents. Amanda looked stunning in her lacy dress surrounded by her bridesmaids in gorgeous shade of burgundy. Their ceremony site was decorated with wine barrels and seasonal wreaths. My favorite part of the day was when newlyweds snuck away to take pictures at the hidden chapel in the woods – it was such a romantic moment! Joe had assembled a team of tallest groomsmen and at some point during the night they lifted the newlyweds up on their shoulders while all the guests swirled in a joyful dance around them. It was an epic celebration and I am so lucky to have been a part of it!
