Sally and Stuart were born on completely opposite sides of the world and fate brought them together in London, where they happened to be staying in the same hostel. They met over cards and drinks on Sally’s second night in town and spent a couple of days exploring the city together. Their official first date was when Stuart flew across Atlantic Ocean to visit Sally in DC. They took a cruise around the monuments and Sally took him to his first baseball game. Little did he know that they would be tying the knot on Potomac river all these years later. After having traveled dozens of incredible places together, Stuart asked Sally to be his wife at the top of Greenwich Observatory overlooking the city where we met and lived together.
Their dreamy wedding took place at River Farm in Alexandria, only a few minutes away from where Sally grew up. Guests flew in from all over the world to witness these two tie the knot. As an homage to their journey together, they threw a travel themed wedding celebration and had maps, planes and flags incorporated in their decor. I was so thrilled to have bonded with the newlyweds over our passport stamps and to have been a part of their epic wedding. Wishing you smooth sailing on your new adventures together!
