Maryland Elopement Photographer
What a fairy tale of a day! Carrie and Mike planned their beach boho elopement in Maryland just minutes away from their home in Annapolis. It was a picture perfect spot with a quaint old lighthouse in the distance. They started their day with an intimate ceremony in front of a DIY arbor. Their two daughters were flower girls and loved seeing their parents tie the knot. Carrie made for such a stunning bride in her flowy dress and flowers created by Oak & Poppy. This was a beautiful way to call each other husband and wife and share love and laughs with their closest friends and family.
After they exchanged vows, they celebrated with a champagne toast while soaking up fresh sea breeze and soft October sun. We then strolled along the beach, toes in the sand, making jokes and holding hands. I captured their first portraits as a married couple on the rocks along the beach and it was such a gift to witness all the joy of their sacred day. After the sun set, the newly eloped couple headed home to enjoy dinner with their family.
It was such an adventure and I loved being a part of it. My favorite part about photographing elopements and intimate weddings is how they are focused on the two people getting married. I love how relaxed, filled with joy and untraditional these beautiful celebrations are and I find so much inspiration in documenting them.
